Thank you for your interest in bringing trails to Logan County! Learn about our progress and how you can get involved HERE!
Have you seen the Bicycle and Trailway Master Plan? Take a look!
The Logan County Outdoor Trails Steering Committee has 4 work groups and we need your help! Please read these descriptions and consider joining the effort:
The outreach committee is charged with creating a community that values active transportation through education, public relations and advocacy efforts. Bicycle safety, cycling events, trail project presentations, and eventually fundraising are all aspects of the outrach committe. The group plans to host a bike rodeo and is considering plans for a 100-mile cycle event in Logan County. For more information, contact Emily at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at 217-735-2317.
We have big dreams but sometimes those dreams require land acquisition and big investments. The long term planning committee is keeping an eye on the big picture. One example of long-term planning is to create an off-road trail from Lincoln to Union. A picturesque 10-mile strech that was previously the interurban railway. For more information, contact David at email@example.com
The country roads of Logan County are beautiful and oftentimes a cyclist's dream with little traffic. The rural routes work group is working to identify the best routes and work identify bicycle-friendly stops and information along the way. For more information, contact Keenan at firstname.lastname@example.org
It is important that Logan County residents have safe options to walk and ride to landmarks with the city limits. The in-town routes group is currently working with engineers on phase 2 of the bike and trailway plan to research and identify which streets within the cities of Lincoln and Atlanta are appropriate and safe for bike paths. For more information, contact Angie at email@example.com.
We need your passion for creating a healthy Logan County that is built with opportunities to move. We hope you join us!
